Q: What hyped up book was worth all of the fuss?

Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
I don’t know if there was a lot of hype when this book was released. However, over the years, I kept hearing how amazing this book was.  It took me a long time to read it, because I knew what it was about, and I had to be in the right mindframe to read it.  But man, once I started, I couldn’t stop.  Amazing!

  1. I have heard a couple of things hear and there about Speak, but I’m not quite sure if I’m willing to read that one. Not a big fan of Anderson, but Speak does sound like a book worth reading!

Yes! I loved Speak! Have you seen the movie? Also, if you like Speak, you would also love Sarah Dessen’s Just Listen (which is my favorite Dessen book!).

I’ve not read Wintergirls (or anything besides Speak by Anderson), but I can tell you Speak is amazing! And even though it is an emotional read, it is also a quick read.

  7. I haven’t yet read this one. Might do so now!
