Q: What hyped up book do you think was not worth all the talk?
This is a difficult question for me. I don’t know if there was a TON a hype about this book, but I know a lot of people enjoyed it. I was not one of them, and in fact, didn’t even finish the book. That book is:
Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake
I just did not like the MC. He always seemed to have snide thoughts about people at the high school in Thunder Bay. Also, a lot of what he said and thought, I couldn’t picture a guy thinking or saying. Does that make sense? Anyway, what book left you disappointed after being hyped up?

I’m reading this right now! I like it so far, thought I’m still at the beginning. I hope I like it better than you did! 😀 Happy Friday! 😀
I enjoyed it but can understand why you didn’t.
My FF
I loved this one! I always seem to love YA books with a male protagonist!
I’m a new rss follower, hooray!

I agree with you about the MC. He is kind of a tool. I’m listening to this one on audiobook, so maybe that’s helped me get through it. I love how creepy it is, especially listening to it at night, so that’s helped too!
Yes, it was definitely creepy, and I love a creepy story. Actually, I love ghost stories. They are some of my favorite (ehem . . . Texas Gothic!!). But Cas drove me insane, and I never finished it.
But in terms of audiobooks, there are definitely some books that I love as audiobook, but I know I would never read as a book book. Isn’t that funny. I love audiobooks, though!
I just started reading this one yesterday, LOL…

I really appreciate you giving some detail as to why you didn’t enjoy it… and I can see what you mean about the character having a bit of a feminine thought process… but I just started, so I’ll keep reading and see how I feel about it… and yes, main characters who are TOO snarky (Anita Blake!) can be really annoying.

I thought this book was okay, but not like great. 🙂 Not sure if I want to read the next book in the series or not..lol. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
I never read it. I probably won’t, it seems too scary! I hate when a book has a crappy MC though, pretty much ruins the whole thing.
Thanks for stopping by my blog, I’m an old follower (:
I haven’t read the book, but my sister loved that book. It’s interesting to see different opinions.

Totally didn’t see this one coming! I haven’t read it yet, but the hype is huge 🙂

I loved this, but then I have a fondness for snarky male characters. I can see why Cas’s personality doesn’t appeal to everyone, though.
Thanks for stopping by!

I almost didn’t finish this one because it was so scary! I liked, it, though, I see what you hated but he did get better.
