Book Haul #42

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly event hosted on Tynga’s Reviews.  The Sunday Post is a weekly event hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.  Here we can share what new books we’ve picked up this past week as well as other interesting book news.

So this week has been up and down, that’s for sure.  But the books were definitely good.

any duchess will do

Any Duchess Will Do by Tessa Dare
I’ve been putting off reading this because it’s the LAST book in the Spindle Cove series.  But I can’t wait any longer.  This will be my next read.

From Netgalley & Edelweiss:

white hot kiss

White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I was approved for this AFTER the release date, but hey, I’m not complaining.  I love me some JLA.

geography of you and me

The Geography of You and Me by Jennifer E. Smith
I wasn’t sure if I was going to request this, but I decided to.  I’ve been hearing very good things!

Life Tidbits

  • You guys, I started watching Merlin, and oh my gosh, I am totally addicted!  And this show is making me want to dig into some Julie Garwood historicals.  It’s all the armor and knights and sword fighting.  It can be kind of romantic, right?
  • Thursday was not the best day ever.  And by that I mean that it kind of totally sucked.
  • I’ve named my Filofax.  Her name is Hermione, and she’s quite taken to the name 🙂
  • I ordered two drawer units from Overstock, and they arrived Friday.  They are SOOOO pretty.

  1. I want to see pictures of what you bought from Overstock! We are in desperate need of a new coffee table (seriously… the one we have is a wreck) and I’ve been curious about using Overstock.

Hope you enjoy your reading! Jen E Smith’s new one is really good. I stayed up late reading it last night. It takes a little time to pick up but the writing is so beautiful and I loved all the places the characters traveled to. Happy weekend!

Here’s the link for the drawer unit I got from Overstock. Ordering from Overstock was really a great experience. The shipping was free, and I recieved them very quickly.

I’ve been hearing wonderful things about Jennifer E. Smith’s book. I’m excited to read it. So glad you liked it, Estelle!

  2. Christina says:

Can you believe I have never read a Jennifer E. Smith book or Jennifer Armentrout? The worst part is that I have Statistical Probability sitting on my shelf…I need to start reading the books I own! What channel is Merlin on? Netflix? Sounds fabulous!

    • Quinn says:

Merlin is on Netflix. It’s a BBC show. It’s AMAZING! You should totally read Statistical. It’s so good. Don’t you love the cover? Also, I know what you mean about needing to read the books you own. I need to do that too!! 🙂

  3. Lucky you for The Geography of You and Me, happy reading.

  21. Ahhh, I was lucky enough to snag a proof copy of The Geography of You and Me, and started it two days ago, loving it so far. And Merlin as in the BBC series with Colin Morgan and Anthony Steward Head? LOVED that. Was one of my favourites, seriously. I bought the complete box set after Christmas because I kept rewatching them every couple of months. I also kind of have crush on Colin Morgan.
