Book Haul #36

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly event hosted on Tynga’s Reviews.  The Sunday Post is a weekly event hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.  Here we can share what new books we’ve picked up this past week as well as other interesting book news.

I didn’t bring home any physical copies of books this week, but I definitely have some ebooks (from Amazon, Netgalley, and from the Library) that I want to share with you.

touch of frost

Touch of Frost by Jennifer Estep
This book has been on my TBR list forever.  I actually just read it on Friday, and really enjoyed it!  Which leads to . . .

kiss of frost

Kiss of Frost by Jennifer Estep
I liked the first book so much, that I immediately downloaded the second one.  I hope I like it as much as the first book.

From Amazon:

way you look

The Way You Look Tonight by Bella Andre
This was a freebie on Amazon, and I couldn’t pass it up.  As of right now, it’s still free – here’s the link.

first star

The First Star to Fall by Diana Peterfreund
I LOVED Across a Star-Swept Sea so much.  I couldn’t pass up this novella up.  Also, it’s free!

Alienated by Melissa Landers
I read this one already, too, and my review should be up in a week or two.  I wasn’t sure if I would like it because science fiction isn’t something I normally enjoy, but this was a fun book.

Life Tidbits

  • It was my first week back to work after having last week off.  It was difficult getting back into the flow of work.
  • I’ve been on a major reading binge.  I hope I don’t jinx it by saying it, but it’s so awesome.  I’ve read so many books, and I don’t feel my reading craving waning at all.
  • I think there’s a very good chance that I will be going to BEA this year.  It’s not official, but it’s looking good.
  • I have to work today (Saturday), but I have Sunday AND Monday off because of the holiday.  I love having Mondays off.

I am going to BEA this year also. Just not sure what day (s) I am going yet. Last year I went on Saturday and it was so much fun. Came home with so many awesome books.

Alienated was a fun read. I really enjoyed that book myself 🙂

Great Haul! I haven’t read any of them but I do have “Touch of Frost” siting on one of my shelves and should really read it! Hopefully getting back into the swing of things at work isn’t too difficult – great you have Sunday and Monday off those 😀 Happy Reading!

  11. Great stack! I hope you enjoy BEA if you go, I’ve recently signed up for the London Book Fair which is our UK equivalent… but it doesn’t seem anywhere near as good as BEA! I’ve got no one else who qualifies to go so I’m going to be on my lonesome, I’m a tiny bit nervous! I hope you have an amazing time 🙂 Touch of Frost looks like a great read, glad to hear you enjoyed it. I hope you enjoy all of your books. My STS 🙂

  12. Mythos Academy is one my favorite series, I hope you enjoy it. And the rest of your new books too.

  19. Alisa Selene says:

Lucky!! I wish I could go to BEA this year no way I could afford it though! I need to pick up across a star swept sea!

    • Quinn says:

First, yes you must read Across a Star-Swept Sea. It’s so so so good, and I really think you will love it.

Well, I am a little closer to NYC than you, but also, I’m hoping work will pay for part of it since I’m a librarian. 🙂

Go ahead, make my day! No really, comments make my day! Let me know what you think.
