Friend Me Friday: My Bad Habits

*Friend Me Friday is a new feature I’m starting on my blog.  Every Friday I’m going to share something about myself.  These posts most likely won’t be book related.  The main reason I started blogging was because I wanted to make friends, but sometimes I worry that my personality isn’t shining through my reviews.  I want to share a little bit about myself, so you all can get to know me better.  And, hopefully, I’ll get to know you a little better by the comments I hope you leave*

Bad habits – We’ve all got ’em.  I know I sure do.  I thought I was share some of my worse offenders:

1.  I can be passive aggressive.
Sometimes I have a hard time expressing my opinion, so I get all passive aggressive.  It’s not a good thing and I seriously need to stop that.

2.  I pick my fingernails.
I know, that sounds so gross, but at least I don’t bite them, right?  I think it’s a nervous habit.  I’ve done it for as long as I can remember.

3.  I’ll put almost anything ahead of doing house work.
Ugh, chores suck, right guys?  I’m much rather be reading and watching TV.

4.  I have a hair care product graveyard
I’m always tempted to try something new, thinking it’s going to be magical.  It rarely is, but I never want to throw it out.  So I have tons of partially-used bottles of hair stuff.

I’m sure I have so many more bad habits, but there are the ones that come to mind.  Do you guys do any go these things?  And what are your bad habits?

I hear you on the hair product grave yard! I always want to try something new (or just decide I don’t like what I already have, even if it isn’t anywhere near empty!), and I end up with four or five bottles of partially-used shampoo and conditioner just hanging out in my bathroom. Whoops!

  2. I can relate to every single one of these, but especially #4. I am always looking for the magic potion that will make my heir straight, shiny, smooth and frizz free. I’m embarrassed to admit this, but a few months ago, I cleared out my under sink area and there were 24 half-full sets of shampoo and conditioner, and more than 20 unmatched sets and other sprays, gels, mousses, pomades and creams. You’d think I’d have learned my lesson by no, but I’m still just as gullible when it comes to advertising.

I’m in the same boat! Always buying something new, when I know it probably isn’t a miracle product, and I have a ton of other products at home. I need to go on a “use up all my partially used hair products” quest or something.

I’m pretty sure i have alllll of these bad habits. Well, not so much the picking my nails; but I do bite mine, especially when I’m nervous. As a child I just bit them for the heck of it. It wasn’t until maybe 8th grade that finally stopped and let them grow. And as for hair products, I’ve gotten better about looking for miracle products… but mostly because I’m convinced that product doesn’t exist for me. Finally… cleaning? What is cleaning? 😉

    • Quinn says:

I wish I could stop picking my nails. Often I don’t even realize I’m doing it until it’s done. And as for hair products, I think I KNOW that there isn’t a miracle hair care product, and yet I’m always wanting to try something new.

And seriously, what’s that word cleaning? That word does not exist at my house 🙂

  4. This is a great idea!

Especially when so many readers can relate lols keep it up!

  5. Being on time. I don’t know why it is, but I tend to be five minutes late for everything (except getting on an airplane and movies because they don’t wait). Even if I leave early, I somehow find a way to arrive five minutes late.

    • Quinn says:

I have some friends and family that are always a little late. My Aunt, particularly. We always talk about Carolyn Time, because she’s always late. 🙂

Go ahead, make my day! No really, comments make my day! Let me know what you think.
