Book Haul #35

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly event hosted on Tynga’s Reviews.  The Sunday Post is a weekly event hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.  Here we can share what new books we’ve picked up this past week as well as other interesting book news.

I have been on a stay-cation all week, and have pretty much been a homebody.  But I did manage to add a few more books to my library.

Library:

time between us

Time Between Us by Tamara Ireland Stone
I actually borrowed this from the library last week, but I forgot to include it in my book haul.

From Amazon:

one upon a winters eve

Once Upon a Winter’s Eve by Tessa Dare
I just downloaded the ebook on Friday.  I’m becoming a HUGE Tessa Dare fan.

i only have eyes for you

I Only Have Eyes for You by Bella Andre
I’ve heard wonderful things about Andre, and this one has a librarian as a main character. Yes, please.

Life Tidbits

  • This week has been so relaxing.  I love stay-cations!  I’ve done very little but be anti-social and read.
  • I’ve been a reading machine for Bout of Books.  I’m really trying to get ahead for 2014. I want to get a whole bunch of books read, and reviews written so if I’m hit with a reading slump, I’m not quite so stressed.  If you’re participating, how’s Bout of Books going for you?
  • I had such a nice time with my dad on Friday.  We went to dinner, the movies (The Hobbit), and spent time walking around the mall.
  • I’m heading over to my Aunt’s house today.  We’re going to make soups in crockpots, and watch the SU basketball game.  Well, I’m not going to watch the game, because I have no interest in sports.  But it will be great hanging out.  My grandmother and uncle will also be there.

Seriously I love traveling but I think I like staying home more. I’m a homebody I guess. I did read Time Between Us already. I liked it it’s not my all time favorite but it was good and enjoyable.

  5. Bella Andre is awesome. Her books are really nice and sweet, but are sexy too. Great haul.

Hooray stay-cations! I’m glad you got to take one and enjoyed it! I haven’t read any of the books you got but they look good! I’m also glad you’ve been doing well with Bout of Books. I’ve totally failed at it!

Staycations are the best! I have been doing well with bout of books but I’m also in a reading binge so that helps. Sometimes we’re just not in the mood to read and that’s okay

  8. I’ve been meaning to read Time Between Us for a while. I hope you like it! Here’s my STS.

  9. I’ve been meaning to read Time Between Us for forever. I have an arc to the sequel on my Kindle, but obviously need to read the first book first. I also saw The Hobbit last night. I’m glad you are having a great stay-cation. Sometimes you need to just be lazy and sit around and read. Hope you enjoy the rest of your time off!

  11. Nice Haul! I would love a stay-cation but if I am home that means the kids are home…really considering moving out…. Just kidding…maybe 😉

I have yet to see the Hobbit movies and I LOVED the LOTR trilogy I can watch it over and over.
I have been wanting to make soup for a couple weeks now and the only week I had time it’s 60 degress outside. Might have to wait till it gets cold again.
Enjoy the games and the soup 🙂
