OCD, the Dude and Me is one that’s been on my radar for a while. I’d also like to read Liesl & Po; I picked it up as a Kindle Daily Deal a LONG time ago but never got around to reading it.

    Enjoy your books!

OCD, the Dude and Me looks brilliant! I hope you enjoy your books!

  4. I’m going to have to check out OCD, the Dude and Me. Sounds like something I may enjoy! I love, love, loved Thirteen Reasons Why. Very heavy and emotional yes but it was such a powerful book. It’s one of those that, IMO, I feel like everyone should read at least once. Especially teens. I don’t know maybe I feel like just maybe, even though it’s a work of fiction, they may see how even the tiniest thing they do could be just one domino in a race that spirals someone out of control. Definitely made me want to smile at everyone I passed on the streets just because. Anyway. Hope you enjoy all these if you get to them!

  5. Thirteen Reasons Why really made me think. It’s a great book that I think everyone should read. Enjoyreading! 😀

  7. Your doggie is adorable! I love the look of OCD, the dude and me! I get you on the not trending towards the dark topics books…I am the same! My sister is totally opposite me in that way she loves the contemps with dark themes and characters with fatal diseases etc..I prefer reading book that make me feel lighter afterwards!

    • Quinn says:

Lol. Yes, I prefer books that make me feel lighter. Such a perfect way to explain it.

Hope you enjoy the issues books that are more out of your comfort zone, like If You Find Me. Good idea to pick up the print 13 Reasons Why to go with the audio- sometimes I wish I could have both to get through the book faster! Liesl & Po is also sad, but hopeful too, and I really liked it (and all of Lauren’s books.)
And OCD does look fun and light to balance out the heavy 🙂 Happy reading, Quinn!

    • Quinn says:

  22. First of all, Ginger is freaking adorable!!! lol And I didn’t realize that author wrote The Future of Us. I haven’t read that one yet, but want to. I really liked 13 Reasons Why. I was apprehensive like you, but it really is a suspenseful book. How’s the audio version? Does it switch between a boy and girl reader? My STS

    • Quinn says:

The audio for Thirteen Reasons Why was brilliant. It does switch between a boy and girl narrator. It really was perfect.

Thanks for saying Ginger is cute. She loves get compliments 🙂

  23. If You Find Me – so very wonderful! I rave about it all over my blog. I know I’ve read Thirteen Reasons Why, but it’s been a long time. Lots of great books – enjoy! Thanks for visiting,

  34. Rebecca says:

I just got If You Find Me, too! I’m on page sixty-something, but I really like it so far. Thirteen Reasons Why wasn’t the book for me, sadly. I found the overall message a little…annoying. Happy reading!

    • Quinn says:

I get what you mean about the message in Thirteen Reasons Why. I’m not a huge fan of really messagey books, but I have to say that I loved Thirteen Reasons Why.

  35. Tressa says:

Gotta love the library! You’ve got quite a great stash there! I have a couple books from my library right now: Asunder and Shades of Earth. I hope you like them all! Thanks for stopping by my STS!

  36. Thirteen Reasons Why is amazing! Heart stopping and it will probably make you cry. Such a powerful book!

I loved The Future Of Us mainly because I’m old and remember the early days of the internet. I loved the concept and thought it was written really well.

I hope you enjoy both of those books as much as I did!

    • Quinn says:

Love, love, love Thirteen Reasons Why! I definitely teared up and I”m still thinking about Clay and Hannah even though I finished it a few days ago.

I’m old too, so I remember the early days of the Internet too! Excited for The Future of Us!

  37. I was also very lucky to receive a signed Jessica Shirvington book this week.

  40. caitlore says:

OH, Liesl and Po and SUCH a fabulous read! I’ve found that I enjoy Oliver’s middle grade stories more that her YA…. and something about this story just grabbed me up and wouldn’t let go. Highly recommended!

    • Quinn says:

I haven’t read anything by Oliver, but based on the summary’s of her YA books, I’m pretty sure I’ll prefer he middle grade books, too.
