Top Ten Characters I Would Crush On If I Were Also A Fictional Character

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly event hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish.  Is it bad that I crush on the below characters without being a fiction character?

In no particular order . . .

1.  Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.  He’s number 1.  I compare all guys to him.  He’s it for me 🙂

2.  Noah Hutchins from Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry.  Oh my gosh – totally swoonworthy.  He’s got this bad-boy reputation, but you just know that he would be completely loyal.  And really, he isn’t a bad boy at all.

3.  Daemon Black from the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout.  I mean, look at him?  Okay, he is a total jerk at first, but he redeems himself.  Again, I just feel like once he committs, he will be completely loyal to you.

4.  Jay from The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting.  I just love him.  He’s sweet, and caring, and it waited for Violet to realize her feelings towards him.  I wouldn’t mind him waiting for me 🙂

5.  Cricket Bell from Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins.  I actually liked Anna and the French Kiss more than this book, but Cricket stole my heart.  Even against St. Clair, I would choose Cricket.  He’s such a nice guy, and it’s great to see the nice guy getting the girl.

6.  Khan Tegus from Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale.  You knew there had to be a prince in here somewhere right?  I really like that he wants to do what is best for his people.  He is very honorable.

7.  Jace Wayland from The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare.  I just love his snarky attitude.  Plus he is totally tough!  And, once again, I think he is totally an honorable and loyal person (I’m sensing a theme here 🙂 )

8.  Tucker from Unearthly by Cynthia Hand.  I haven’t finished the series, but it’s always been Tuck for me (even if he has a little boy name)!

9.  Prince Kai and Wolf from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer.  I can’t pick between the two.  Prince Kai is an honorable guy, and I love that.  Plus he is so nice.  But Wolf is kind of wild, and tough, and, again, once he gave you his loyalty, I don’t think he would ever take it back.

10.  Cam from Wait for You by J. Lynn (AKA Jennifer L. Armentrout).  I love how determined Cam is.  And also how patient he is.  Something else I love – that JLA can create both Cam and Daemon and that they are both different guys!

11.  Sir Percy Blakeney from The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Emmuska Orczy.  Because he is dashing, and saves people from having their heads chopped off.  Oh, and he is okay with making a fool of himself.  Maybe that’s what I love about him best.

This was way too fun!!!  Now if only I could find someone like these guys in real life 🙂

  1. I’ve heard really great things about Wolf from Scarlet. I’m not sure if I’ll pick up the book because I didn’t think that much of Cinder. Yay for Mr. Darcy! He definitely is the ultimate gentleman ;). Great list Quinn!

  2. Oh, I should have included Sir Percy Blakeney! Loved the book, loved the film with Anthony Andrews, loved the musical…

    Here is my TTT list!

    • Quinn says:

ANTHONY ANDREWS!!!!!!!! I never saw the musical, but I’ve listened to the soundtrack a lot. I love that he is okay making a fool of himself.

      • Yes — that he’s willing to be dismissed as a dandy and a fop when in truth he’s a hero and a brilliant spy (not to mention swordsman.)

I saw a fantastic production of the musical in Salt Lake City/West Ogden’s Hale Centre Theatre. Incredible sets, incredible costumes, wonderful singer/actors. The guy playing Percy was tall and broadshouldered and not at all hard on the eyes… and he could SING, too!

  3. So many good ones. I need to check out this body finder series I just learned about it last week not sure how it was no where near my radar
    Marissa @ Rae Gun Ramblings

  4. Rory says:

I thought Mr. Darcy might be on here. He didn’t make my list, but Capt. Wentworth did (and Darcy certainly deserves a spot). I like Daemon’s devotion in the Lux series, there is something quite lovely about a pair of equals falling for each other (I consider Katy and Daemon equal, at least).

  5. Khan Tegus! Why didn’t I think of him? He’s so dreamy just as the rest of those on my list. Love your choice of boys.. Some of them are on my list too.

Janus @ The Blair Book Project

  6. Such a good list! You have so many of the guys I wanted to include if the list were longer than 10. 🙂 Here are my picks.

  7. So many good choices! Totally agree with you on Noah. And like Marissa, I really need to go find the body finder series. Everyone keeps talking about it!

  8. NOAHHHH. He’s one of my new favorites and I can’t believe I left him out. So many great guys – great list!!

  9. I am in 100% agreement on Daemon! He made my list too…..I mean after reading that book how can he not be on the list! When you say he redeems himself you are not kidding! 🙂

  10. I love your list. I have Daemon on my list too, BUT I wanted to think outside the box! Also.. I was totally team Christian AND Tucker. I never did decide, lol.

    Vixen’s Top Ten!

    • Quinn says:

Christian always seemed a little too charming for my tastes. Also, I felt like he was kind of pressuring Clara in Hallowed. Just my opinion, though.

  11. Jessica says:

Oh yes to Mr. Darcy. I left him off because I know he’s going to be on a lot of lists. High-five for adding Sir Percy.

    Jessica @ Literary etc

    • Quinn says:

As much as I know Darcy would be on lots of peoples lists, I couldn’t not include him. He really is my number one! And definitely yay for Sir Percy!

  12. Jade says:

I haven’t read any of the books featured on your list, besides Pride and Prejudice, and the dunce that I am managed to leave Mr Darcy off of my list… How silly I am.

    • Quinn says:

LOL. I do that a lot – leave a book of a TTT list, then see it on another’s TTT post and remember that I forgot to include it. Glad I’m not the only one 🙂

  13. YES for Noah, but I like Ryan from Dare You To better 🙂
    Top Ten Book Boyfriends

  14. angelicreader says:

Not really familiar with the boys you picked but only cos the books have been on my TBR for AGES!

  15. Liesel Hill says:

Great list! Love Noah Hutchings, and Mr. Darcy made my list too! 😀 Happy Tuesday!
    My TTT.

  16. Ha! We both have the same #1! Go Darcy Go Darcy Go Darcy! I also have Jace, but I have Will Herondale as well. I was going to add Wolf, but I already had 13 on my list…

    Top Ten Tuesday

  17. Candice says:

I haven’t read a few of these, but the ones I have? Oh yes! I have a sneaky feeling Mr. Darcy would end up on your list 🙂

  18. You have some great crushes here, Quinn! Ah, Mr. Darcy! 😉 *sigh* There are a few on your list that I haven’t met yet, so I’ll have to add those books to my TBR. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

  19. Mr. Darcy is on my list but after much soul searching he didn’t make my #1 slot =P I also am happy Jace is on your list, love his snarky attitude! This also reminds me I really need to finally read the Cinder series both Cinder & Scarlet are on my shelf but I keep putting off reading them for some reason!

    Emily @ Falling For YA

    • Quinn says:

I highly recommend reading Cinder and Scarlet – they’re fabulous!

Mr. Darcy was my number one without me even having to think about 🙂

  20. Alyssa says:

Oh Kai and Wolf, how could they NOT be on the list? I particularly like the brooding Wolf character..MMM MMM!! Also I NEED to read TMI now…everyone keeps mentioning Jace!

    • Quinn says:

Wolf is great. I was leaning more towards him, but I also love how sweet Kai is. And do read TMI – especially since the movie is coming out this summer. 🙂

  21. I liked Noah a lot for Echo, but I would NOT want to date him. Being called baby all the time would make me INSANE.

    • Quinn says:

LOL. I know a lot of people didn’t like that, and although being called “baby” all the time wouldn’t be my favorite – I think the rest of Noah more than makes up for it 🙂

  22. Krista says:

JLA does do good book boyfriends, doesn’t she? I have two on my list too!

    Here’s my list – TTT @ Krista’s Dust Jacket

  23. Mmmm yes to Jace from TMI & Mr Darcy 🙂 Obsidian, The Lunar Chronicles & Unearthly are all books I own & hope to read asap!! Brilliant list!

    Micheline @ Lunar Rainbows

  24. Prince Kai, Wolfe and Thorne, you got to love them 😀 I’m also completely team Tucker.

    • Quinn says:

YAY team Tucker!! Christian is tooo charming, and I felt like he was really annoying in Hallowed. But I haven’t read Boundless yet. Tucker is just so sweet, and real!

  25. tinalinatime says:

I whole-heartedly agree with your thoughts on Mr. Darcy! He is just the best guy ever written! But I also love me some Cricket and I’ll be honest, he pulls ahead of Etienne for me too! 🙂

    • Quinn says:

When I started Lola, I was nervous because how could anyone compare to St. Clair, but then there was Cricket! Sweet, wonderful Cricket. 🙂

  26. Jessica says:

Great list!! Tucker and Daemon made my list too! Jace almost did. But I was already up to 15 as it was. And I really need to read PTL because I’ve heard so many awesome things about Noah!

    My TTT

    Jessica@Lovin’ Los Libros

  27. Lisa says:

Darcy, Cricket, and Jace! Woo hoo! Carrying a torch for all of them. Mr. Darcy has made my expectations for guys most likely unreasonable. Haha. Oh well.

  28. I love Sir Percy and Darcy of course..I need to read pushing the limits finally!

  29. Cee says:

I agree, it’s always great to see the nice guy get the girl, especially if that guy is sweet Cricket Bell.

    My top ten!

  30. GAHH! I love NOAH! I could just eat him up, all day, everyday.

  31. Love your list! I love Wolf, Kai, Sir Percy, Daemon, Cricket, and, of course, Mr. Darcy. I really need to read the Body Finder series, I think. I keep seeing Jay’s name this week. Thanks for sharing!

  32. I love so many of these as well. I need to read The Scarlet Pimpernel. That is one classic I’ve never experienced. Such swoon happening today.

  33. We have one in common this week, Jace, and two almosts more me, Mr. Darcy and Cricket. I would’ve put Cricket on there, but I loved Etienne better than him. And, I couldn’t put Mr. Darcy on there because I hated him for most of the book. It wasn’t until near the end I started to like him. Sad. I know.

    My TTT Post

  34. I’ve met Marissa Meyer three times and have both her books but still haven’t read them. (Horrible, I know.) I still need to finish Pushing the Limits, but what I’ve read so far I LOVED. (Butterflies almost the entire time.) And Cricket Bell = love, of course. Oh, and Jay Heaton ❤ ❤ <3. I'm happy to him and this series on people's lists! Go The Body Finder! Thanks for sharing and stopping by!

Rachel @ Beauty and the Bookshelf

  35. Teresa says:

Daemon and Jace and Cam!!! Love them! I am really loving this weeks TTT. Thanks for stopping by my TTT.

Teresa @ Readers Live A Thousand Lives

  36. LisaILJ says:

It pained me to leave Jay off my list. He was on it for the longest time, and by time I had it down to 10 from the original 25, he was out. I agree with everything you said about him. Thanks for stopping by my TTT.

  37. Noah, Cricket, Tucker… All fabulous choices!

  38. fakesteph says:

Cricket, yeeeep. And I’m about to read P&P and Scarlet. So psyched!

Go ahead, make my day! No really, comments make my day! Let me know what you think.
