In My Mailbox #32

In My Mailbox is a weekly event hosted by Kristi over at The Story Siren.  Here we can share what new books we’ve picked up this past week.

I only have one book for IMM today.  Kensington Teen sent me and ARC for review:

Touched by Corrine Jackson
Thanks, Kensington Teen!  Can’t wait to read this one.

What did you guys get this week?

About Quinn

I'm a twenty-something children's librarian at a public library in Central New York. I've long left my teen years behind me, but I love to read YA and children's books. I have two adorable dogs. Ginger is a mix between a poodle and havanese, and Daphne is Bichon Frise. Other things I love: Favorite Movie: Singing in the Rain Favorite Book: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen Favorite TV Show: Monk

  1. I’ve heard of Corrine Jackson, although I haven’t read anything by her. I like the cover, though! (:

(And in response to your comment on my blog: I’m hoping the Lux series will grow on me, too! JLA seems really cool, so I want to like her books, you know?)

  2. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I haven’t heard of this before, but thanks for featuring it. I always love finding new ones to check out!

Awesome, I’ve been looking forward to reading this one! did they send you an unsolicited ARC?! I’ve always wondered how people get those deals 🙂 No one really contacts me haha. Hell, I don’t even know how to solict ARCs! I think I may need to hone in these skills…

I requested this one. I sent a request letter to Kensington Publishing asking for Decked with Holly. When I sent them the request they said they would put me on a mailing list for their other titles. Then I got an email from them listing books could request (I could request 5). I requested 2 books (Touched and Spark). They sent me Touched.

I did a lot of research about whether or not I should even send out a request. The Story Siren has lots of info in her blog tips tab. I’ve never sent out requests to any other publishing houses. Maybe I will down the road, but my blog is still new – only about 7 months old. Good luck! I am sure publishers would love your blog. I know I do!

Go ahead, make my day! No really, comments make my day! Let me know what you think.
