TGIF (6): Authors Are Our Celebrities

TGIF at GReads is weekly event hosted by Ginger from GReads.  The features allows us to recap the weeks posts and to answer a book-related question proposed by Ginger.  This week’s question is:

Authors Are Our Celebrities: Have you ever contacted an author you admired? How did that experience go?  If not, which author would you love to have a chat with?

I have never contacted an author, let alone one I admired.  But if I could have a chat with any author I would want to chat with . . .

Katie McGarry!  I just finished her debut novel, Pushing the Limits, and it was amazing!  I would love to hear how she came up with all these wonderfully developed characters.

Another author I would love to chat with is . . .

J.K. Rowling.  Because, she’s J.K. Rowling!  Enough said!  Although, I might be too starstruck to understand a word she says.

About Quinn

I'm a twenty-something children's librarian at a public library in Central New York. I've long left my teen years behind me, but I love to read YA and children's books. I have two adorable dogs. Ginger is a mix between a poodle and havanese, and Daphne is Bichon Frise. Other things I love: Favorite Movie: Singing in the Rain Favorite Book: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen Favorite TV Show: Monk

  1. I would seriously bid lots of money to be able to sit and tak with JK Rowling. She’s my literary hero and I think it would be fascinating to pick her brain!

  2. I do have Pushing the Limits, and I can’t wait to read it. It sounds like it’s a really good read!

Also, JK Rowling is a definite MUST MEET SOMEDAY for me. I would love to meet her and tell her I love her and her books so much.

Go ahead, make my day! No really, comments make my day! Let me know what you think.
