Q: Activity! Hopefully warm weather for most of us is here soon…so tell us about your favorite outdoor reading spot. Or take a picture.
Yeah, I’m still waiting for the warm weather in Syracuse, NY, so I don’t have a picture to show you. In the Spring I like to sit in a lounge chair in my backyard and read. I bring my sweet puppies outside and they get to explore the backyard while I read. But in all honesty, I don’t read that much outside. I have fairly light skin that burns so quickly. So I have to be really careful about how much time I sit in the sun. Even with sunscreen, it doesn’t take much before I’m red as a beet. But in the Spring, when the sun isn’t quite as strong, I do enjoy sitting out back. Since I don’t have a picture of the location, I thought I would show you my dog Daphne outside. This photo is actually when she was a puppy.
Where do you guys like to read outside? Anyone else have skin that burns quickly?

Your dog is adorable. I don’t read outside because I tan so bad and I don’t like it, though I agree, spring is a better time.

Thanks, I think Daphne is pretty cute too
I actually kind of like my fair skin, which is good because I don’t tan – just burn
Awwww reading with puppies is always the best! Hope you have a good Friday
Here’s my FF!
I agree. Thanks!
Cute puppy! We’ve only gotten some mild weather very recently–like in the last two days–so I’m excited to find some outdoor reading time!
My FF.
Adorable! Unfortunately, I always have to watch my dog when I go outside, because the minute I take my eye off her, she’s immediately up to no good.
I can’t read outside all that much because my city is noisy, doesn’t have much greenery, and heavily polluted. My skin is also very sensitive.
Hi Quinn. Old follower returning again as I often do. Love the dog! And I must say that although I never comment, I love reading your weekly round up. I’ve really got to know you. And yes, I burn beet red too. I also avoid the sun. You can find my FF at: http://gwynnethwhite.blogspot.com/
cheers

It’s too hot and humid to read outside here, but we are going into Autumn so its nice outside for a little while.

Daphne is so cute!! I enjoy reading outside when it’s warm enough but it’s more likely I’ll be curled up in bed with a cup of tea

Aww, Daphne is adorable! I’m like you, I like to read outside, but I have to be very careful about how long I do it because I burn easily. *sigh* It never stops me from trying to spend the afternoon reading in the park though.
I think Spring is the best time to read outside. Around here too I find it much too warm in the Summer…it’s uncomfortable. But Spring time+ fur babies sounds fabulous to me! Thanks for sharing
Love it!
New GFC Follower. So glad to have found your blog and im looking forward to talking books with you

PUPPY!!!!! This is the first spring that I’ll a) be settled into my house and b) have a house to be settled into so I can spend time in the back yard with my own furbabies! Definitely looking forward to kicking back on the lounge chairs with a good book and a frosty beverage! And the 50+ SPF sunscreen and a hat!
Your puppy is so cute! I’ve got a Maltese Terrier.

Cute puppy. Spring is also my favorite time. I live near Buffalo, NY and I can’t wait till spring gets here. Thanks for sharing and visiting my FF. =] Old Twitter and Email Follower. =]
I’d say sitting and reading anywhere with Daphne would rate highly!!
During the winter months here, I sit on my sofa, which looks out front toward my outdoor reading spot, and read while my cat naps in my lap!
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
