Life Tidbits

  • CNY wasn’t really hit a ton by Nemo, but we did get some snow (maybe 6 inches).  Nothing out of the ordinary, really, for Syracuse, but it still wasn’t fun driving home on Friday evening.  I hope everyone hit by the storm is doing alright.
  • This is the first Saturday I’ve had off since January 12.  Woot woot for having Saturdays off!
  • I really want to see Warm Bodies this weekend, but I’m not sure I will be able to.  I’m trying to get my dad to go with me, because none of my other friends are up for it.  I tried tricking my mom into seeing it.  She asked what it was about, and I said it was a zom-rom-com, thinking she wouldn’t know that it was about zombies, but she totally knew.  It was really funny.  I shouldn’t underestimate my mother.
  • I got my tickets to see American Ballet Theatre’s Le Corsair in DC in April.  So excited!  They are really good seats.
  • I read this great post about introverts over at Stacked.  You should definitely check it out, if you haven’t already.
  • I’ve been having such a fun time participating in Project: Fairy Tale, created and hosted by Alison from The Cheap Reader.  It’s great to read the other participating bloggers’ thoughts on their chosen fairytales.  You all should check it out!

I had been putting it off, too, because it was confusing. But there is a little video thing that helped me out. It was on the left hand side under the review copies tab. Once I watched that I had no problems.

    • Quinn says:

I read in some magazine that Warm Bodies was a zom-rom-com. I liked that, and was hoping mom had no idea what the zom stood for. Oh well. I did see it with my dad, and it was a lot of fun.

  31. So glad you were safe up in upstate New York! I was feeling for the whole northeast. Maybe it led to fun times too…?

    • Quinn says:

snow is pretty much the norm in Syracuse, so it didn’t really lead to any fun times for me. Actually, it was kind of a pain, because I had to drive home in not great weather, and then shovel, shovel, shovel. But I bet kids loved it. Or anyone that got out of work early.

  32. alexia561 says:

Yea for having Saturdays off! I never minded working on Sundays, but Saturdays bummed me out for some reason. And too funny about trying to trick your mom into seeing a zombie movie with you! Never underestimate moms, as they know all the tricks! :)

  33. I saw Warm Bodies yesterday! I am posting my review on Saturday! If you post a review message me so I can link it up! :)

  34. Lucy says:

Edelweiss is so addictive! Have fun. Both of those books are on my kindle waiting to be read :) Glad you enjoyed Warm Bodies!

  35. I plan on reading How My Summer Went Up In Flames for the Debut Author Challenge.

I really want to see Warm Bodies but with Beautiful Creatures coming out this week, I have a really tough choice.

  36. ladyruby07 says:

Totally got hit by Nemo. I think we got it a shade worse than CNY because we got the lake effect snow off of Erie. I shoveled like 3 times at my work (and was gonna kill a Bobcat driver LOL) and then had to go shovel my house! Thank goodness for the boyfriend’s help!

Totally want to see Warm Bodies too. If I lived by you I’d go with you!

Go ahead, make my day! No really, comments make my day! Let me know what you think.
