Q: What New Years Blogging or Writing resolution have you placed on yourself?
I’m not huge on New Year’s Resolutions. It has just never been a thing with me or my family. This year, however, I do sort of feel like I can make some resolutions, and follow through with them.
In terms of blogging, I want to draft more posts. I want to get a little ahead so if something comes up, I’m not scrambling to put something together. I also want to draft posts in advance so that I can think about what I want to say a little more. To have time to think things through, you know?
I also want to comment on more blogs, and to try to not be so shy. I want to make blogging friends. I’m very shy, and even reaching out over the Internet can be difficult for me. I have been working through it this past year, but I know I still get nervous about talking to people. And I really want to meet new people who like to talk about books like I do. So I need to get over my shyness. I’m a grown woman, and it is time to not be so bashful.
In terms of reading resolutions: see my Top Ten Tuesday post below.
I have no writing resolutions. I’m not writer. Just a reader
What are you bookish resolutions?

I’m shy too so I can understand that. I always want to meet bloggers when I go to event but I totally just think oh look that’s so and so from whatever blog and never say anything.
Yeah, me too. I might say something if they talk first. I did introduce myself to a blogger recently, but she knew I would be there, so that is kind of different.
Hopping through. I’d like to comment more too. I’m not shy…just lazy unfortunately :-/
My Hop
Hello! We really appreciate you stopping by our blog a lot to comment on our posts. x) Yeah, I know what you mean by creating more posts– sometimes, there just isn’t enough time (or *cough* I just feel really lazy). =)) Aww, don’t worry about being shy! It’s normal– I remember when my co-blogger and I started blogging (and up to now), we’re still rather hesitant to approach other bloggers. Great resolutions, and I wish you the best of luck!

Good luck with your goals! I hope you reach them all. I’m a bit shy as well, but it helps if you comment a LOT and talk to people you’re somewhat familiar with on a regular basis, that’ll hopefully make it easier to talk to other people as well.
I followed your blog. Follow me back?
Great resolutions… I know exactly what you mean about being nervous to talk to people.. I had a huge problem with that too, but the more you do it, the easier it gets
And thinking things through ~ that’s on my list too

Happy Reading

Great resolutions! I’d also like to try and draft posts ahead. Makes life less stressful.

Totally agree as far as getting ahead with posts. I was doing that for a little while, and it really helped my peace of mind to know that I already had some things queued up and ready to go. Definitely takes some of the pressure off
So I’m working on getting a few posts ready and queued as well.
I’m the same way with being shy. More so in person, but I definitely struggle with it online as well.
Thanks for dropping by my blog!
Returned the follow!
It doesn’t seem like it online but I am REALLY Shy in real life..if I talk in front of a large group I get the shakes and shivers..hate it! Online I am much more prone to talking! SO I can totally relate!
I get nervous talking in front of large groups, too. But not storytime. I’m very comfortable with that. That might be because I don’t feel like the kids are judging me.
I’m much more comfortable leaving comments and stuff. But I have a very difficult time making lasting connections.
Same here, I teach the little ones and am way less shy talking to them! LOL I understand what you mean!
Seriously. Kids are so easy to talk to
Luck with your goals.

I completely understand shyness! I’ve been shy all my life but it’s getting easier now that I’m blogging. Thanks for stopping by My FF this week! Old follower.

Yeah, some things are easier, now too. I am more comfortable leaving comments now, but it’s the whole making connections and friends thing that is really difficult. But one step at a time
Love your resolutions, completely understand the shy thing. I’m pretty much the same, been working on it though

That’s the great thing about the internet and blogging, you can start coming out from your shell without having to face people face-to-face, unfortunately I’m not very shy LOL but I know a few friends that are, and they normally start out by commenting on blogs and forums. Good luck with your resolution.
My FF post.
Thanks!
Count me as another shy one! I’ve gotten much better since high school and I think blogging has helped me with that too. Good luck with all your resolutions! Old follower.
I’m definitely better than high school. And somethings I am not shy about at all. I so story times three times a week, and I am very comfortable being infront of kids. But having to introduce a performer is terrifying.
Meeting new people is tough. I can leave a comment, but actually making connections is the tough part for me.
Great resolutions! I am also super shy, but my resolution is to comment more aswell
Good luck! Here is my FF.
Great resolutions! I would like to comment more and make blog friends too. I just need to get myself known. Commenting is just the first step!
I plan on following your blog, by the way!
No need to be shy! At least not on the internet. I followed you on twitter @veela_valoom so say hello sometime!
Thanks
Good luck with your goals! I understand being shy for sure, but you don’t have to be with us…we all have a lot in common. Drafting seems like a great idea. Thank you so much for stopping by my FF. Old Follower – I’m on twitter following you too @jezzebelljc
I’m not a very New Year resolution person either. I agree on the Draft posts though, it’s always good to know that you’re ahead. Good luck, Quinn!
Thanks for stopping by my F&FF earlier.
Old follower!
Happy Reading!

I’m super shy too, so I can completely understand that. I have to admit, I like the anonymity of the internet for that reason. Helps me break through a little faster. Good luck with drafting more often. I have the opposite problem and draft and prep almost everything. Not spontaneous at all. But drafting can be time consuming too. Oh well, lol.
I am working on drafting more posts too. I hate doing them last minute. Good luck with your resolutions.
Great answer!
It’s hard finding the time to balance between blogging and then commenting on everything. Old follower hopping through! You can visit my F&F here. Have a great weekend!
Good luck with your resolutions! I too am hoping to draft more posts. It’s just so hard to find the time!
Good luck with your resolutions! I hope you have fun achieving them
I always try and draft posts ages in advance because I too like giving myself time to think it through and I can easily go back and re-word things. I find it easier. Also the fact that if I get super busy I don’t have to put up a mediocre post up!
Happy New Year!
