Q: What book do you think everyone should read? If you could gift the entire population with one book?

Harry Potter

Oh my gosh, this is such a difficult questions.  Harry Potter would definitely be at the top of my list, because I think there is so much there for people to love.  At almost any age.  Harry Potter teaches you so much about people.  I don’t think it matters that it is set in a world filled with wizards and magic, because the hopes and dreams of the people are the same as us.  Also, it is a totally kick-ass story!  :)

What would be your choice?

    Have a wonderful weekend.

I was just talking to a coworker last night about how he has never read HP. He reads all the time, and loves fantasy, but hasn’t read HP.

I do recommend that you do. You will not be disappointed. :)

  4. I was very tempted to stick with my favorite Harry Potter, but I knew that almost everybody would pick him, so I decided to choose something else. But still, HP is the best :)

    • Quinn says:

I certainly can’t argue with HP being the best. But Grimm’s Fairytales is also the best. Who knows if HP would be around without the fairytales!!!

  5. Bree says:

I’m another who hasn’t read HP…they may make it onto my TBR though after seeing so many people post them today!

    I’m a new RSS follower!

  8. New Follower that wants to know how the hell you have read 408 books in a year!??! I barely have read 50. Damn. Im a loser. lol

    • Quinn says:

You’re not a loser! So the reason I’ve read 408 books is because I’m a children’s librarian, and I wanted to keep track of the picture books I read as well as the full length novels. At least 200 of the 408 are picture books. Quick to read, but still totally amazing.

Reading 50 books is fantastic! it’s practically a book a week!

  9. Krystianna says:

Harry Potter is completely amazing. I think that the third one is my favorite book, but the fifth one is my favorite movie. Great pick! :D

I love the whole Harry Potter series, too. I am shocked when students tell me that they haven’t read it yet. Can you believe that there are people out there willing to let their lives go by without reading this wonderful series? Thanks for dropping by my blog. Happy week-end.

So far every blog I’ve visited today has at least mentioned Harry Potter. Of course the real question is… which book in the series? Eh?

    • Quinn says:

Well, if I can’t give the whole series, which would be the obvious choice, it has to be HP 1, because I think you need to read them in order. Although my fav of all the books is HP3 :)

  14. Traci says:

I almost put HP too! It’s was a really close second :) Thanks for stopping by my FF. Old follower.

    • Quinn says:

I don’t think you’re weird at all for not reading HP. However, I think you are missing out on one of the best series written. I think almost everyone can enjoy HP. I hope you do read it; I know you won’t regret it.

  19. Aman says:
